Hello there, welcome I’m Susan, an integrative counsellor based in Belfast, offering online counselling across Northern Ireland and in-person sessions in East Belfast. I support adults with their emotional wellbeing, providing a safe and confidential counselling space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you explore what’s going on in your life.
Alongside my counselling training, I bring over 19 years of experience working in community-focused roles, supporting individuals from many different walks of life. These experiences have shaped my understanding of people’s unique stories and deepened my commitment to offering thoughtful, respectful support.
Outside of work, I’m an avid plant enthusiast and enjoy sea dipping, both of which help me stay grounded and connected to balance in my own life.

My work is rooted in creating a compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly, without pressure or expectation.
I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful counselling. Feeling safe and understood can help build trust, allowing deeper exploration and greater self-awareness over time.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of approaches including Person-Centred, CBT, psychodynamic, and somatic awareness. This allows counselling to be shaped around your individual needs rather than following a single fixed method.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework. I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure my work remains thoughtful, ethical, and informed.
Faith is an important part of my own life, and I respect that everyone’s experience is different. I won’t bring faith into our sessions unless it’s something you wish to explore. My counselling space is open to people of all faiths and none, offering a respectful and inclusive place to talk.
You can find more information about how counselling works and the areas I support on the Counselling page.
If you’re considering counselling and would like to explore whether working together feels right, you’re welcome to arrange a free 15-minute consultation or reach out with any questions.
